Project Overview

Groupe Hospitalier Paul Guiraud is a major psychiatric hospital group in the Paris Sud area (GHT Paris Sud), serving some of the most sensitive and complex medical cases in the region. Joining without a predefined technical roadmap, I took the initiative to identify automation opportunities across departments — proactively reaching out to staff to understand their pain points and deliver concrete solutions. My work spanned VBA automation, internal tooling, Microsoft Active Directory management, and the implementation of a new IT ticketing system.

Our Approach

With no formal brief, I adopted a consultative approach — going department by department to surface inefficiencies and manual processes that could be automated. The priority was quick, high-impact wins for non-technical staff dealing with heavy administrative workloads. Solutions were built to be simple, reliable, and maintainable by people with no development background, ensuring long-term adoption in a demanding healthcare environment.

  • Telephony Directory Consolidation — Built a VBA system merging 3 separate Excel files into a single validated dataset, cross-referenced against Microsoft Active Directory to remove outdated entries and ensure data accuracy.

  • Process Automation — Developed multiple VBA workflows across departments to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and reduce administrative workload.

  • Microsoft AD Management — Managed user directory, access rights, and account lifecycle within the hospital's Microsoft LDAP infrastructure.

  • IT Ticketing System — Implemented and managed a new support ticketing system to streamline IT request handling across the hospital group.

  • Proactive Initiative — Independently identified and prioritized automation needs across departments with no formal brief, delivering tangible value in an unstructured environment.
